Just a few steps from the Riviera della Versilia lies a small village called Casoli. The historic village of Casoli is surrounded by olive trees and green spaces, and everywhere you can hear the soothing sound of the Candalla waterfalls.
Here, we have created a small haven of rest: Elanor – Il Rifugio di Casoli.
Why Elanor? Elanor is the golden star-shaped flower imagined by J. R. R. Tolkien, said to grow only in the gardens of Lothlórien. Sam chose this name for his firstborn daughter because, among all the beautiful and meaningful names he encountered during his journey with Frodo, Elanor represented something beautiful, small, and simple.
THE HOUSE:
Elanor is a three-level home featuring a spacious living room, a kitchen with dining table, one double bedroom, one bathroom with shower, and a medium-sized bedroom that can be arranged either with a double bed or two single beds.
The house is distinguished by its romantic terraced garden with breathtaking views over the valley and the cliffs. The terraces are furnished with a table and chairs, as well as sun loungers for relaxing moments.
Inside the house, we have carefully curated every detail — from decorative objects to antique books and rugs — all to create a warm and romantic atmosphere. Each room is equipped with air conditioning.
The kitchen includes an oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, dining table, and coffee machine. The bedrooms evoke the charm of the past while offering every modern comfort.
Please note:
To reach Casoli, you will need a car, which can be parked along the public road. There is a bus service (line E33, available here: https://www.at-bus.it/it/linee-e-orari/lucca-extraurbano-e33), but we do not recommend it due to limited connections. The house can only be reached on foot via a short path of approximately 100 meters with comfortable, wide steps.
This property is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility or for very young children.

Casoli di Camaiore is an ancient village set in the hills behind the historic town center.
The ancient art of sgraffiti (already known in Roman times) was revived in this small village in the 1960s thanks to Rosario Murabito. Every year in June, new international artists return to add their works, further enriching this fascinating corner of Versilia.
